PLA is a compostable product that is produced as film for bags and lidding, it is also produced thicker for thermoforming.
PLA as a single ply film is a breathable film with a fair oxygen barrier and high moisture transmission rate. This makes an ideal replacement to PP films for ‘living foods’ from mushrooms, Potatoes and salad leaves to crusty fresh baked bread.
